A SharePoint 2007 bilingual intranet has enabled knowledge sharing and collaboration at law firm Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP as each staff member can create and comment on content. Jennifer McNenly explains how this works and looks at the improved features migration to SharePoint 2010 will bring.

A SharePoint 2007 bilingual intranet has enabled knowledge sharing and collaboration at law firm Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP as each staff member can create and comment on content. Jennifer McNenly explains how this works and looks at the improved features migration to SharePoint 2010 will bring.

What's Inside:

Law firm Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP has a SharePoint 2007 bilingual intranet called Oslernet, which includes legal and administrative community team sites. All sites have content owners who are responsible for updating their own information, and everyone in the firm is considered a content creator and commentator via their ability to create news and events. The information architecture is a mix of task- and department-based information and pages are a mix of both custom and out-of-the- box web parts. Osler is currently in the process of migrating to SharePoint 2010 which has some useful functionality that is new or has been improved.
