FreePint Topic Series: Best Practices in Information Skills DevelopmentThe sophistication of information skills in an organisation is a critical factor in its success, yet few organisations take a strategic view of developing those skills today, let alone planning for tomorrow. In fact, one of the first things to go when business is overly busy or finances get tight is a focus on training and development.

That's one of the reasons we've taken a strategic focus for the FreePint Survey: Information Skills Development. We want to gauge the degree to which organisations:

  • Recognise the risks associated with below-par information skills in their knowledge workers
  • Plan for the future of knowledge work as well as address the present
  • Empower information professionals to support strategy, make recommendations and act on them with regard to skills development.

Participate in Research

Take 10 minutes to complete the survey now - provide a valid email address at the end, and we'll send you a free copy of the results. You'll be able to benchmark your organisation against the survey pool according to:

  • Types of development tools and approaches for skill development, for both information professionals and other knowledge workers
  • Integration of information professionals into strategic planning and implementation
  • Preferred resources for learning about development opportunities

And more.

Your input is fully anonymous; your email address will only be used to send you a copy of the results upon publication in June 2015.
