Eikon contains a vast range of data and information, including company fundamentals, macroeconomic data, portfolio benchmarking data, broker research reports and Reuters and third-party news and commentary.

Analysis for the "Buy-Side"

The newer version of the product is aimed specifically at the financial services "buy-side" community, comprising institutions such as investment management firms, mutual funds, pension funds, insurance firms and others involved in the process of asset management.

Organised around groups of content and functionality, Eikon offers a "powerful combination of data and analytics" and offers extensive alerting, exporting and sharing options.

Chris Porter is a specialist analyst and consultant in the area of business information, particularly for information-intensive industries. As a contributing editor for FreePint, he has written many reviews of financial products, including Eikon, Reg-TrackS&P Capital IQ and Thomson Reuters Regulatory Intelligence.
