Abstract

Find out why you should read the Index Report and commentary on the FreePint Topic Series "News, and Other Commodities" where we carried out original research into three key areas of news, reviewed key tools, analysed vendor landscapes, gave insights into specialist areas of news, and identified news sources available in emerging markets.

FreePint Topic Series: News, and Other CommoditiesAre news databases a viable standalone product, with a significant enough market to keep them competitive five years from now? As we conclude our October - December 2015 Topic Series, "News, and Other Commodities", it seems unlikely.

This is one of many critical ideas we developed, researched and discussed with customers during this Series, and I look forward to continuing to explore these changes in our industry in dialogue with you.
