Abstract

What place do "free" resources such as blogs and web-based versions of print media have in organisations' news portfolios? Robin Neidorf examines the data from FreePint's Sixth Annual News Needs & Preferences Survey to decipher the results around premium vs non-cost resources, looking into whether organisations have policies on use of free web resources, which types of free resources are most commonly used and what value paid-for resources offers over non-cost options.
