Drilling down into the detail of FreePint's Sixth Annual News Needs & Preferences Survey shows the importance of a range of variables when using premium news content products, from abstracts and alerts to native (non-English) language sources and availability of news in a mobile format. We also polled respondents about the frequency of their activities relating to news content, such as searching for current news text and advising colleagues on news resources. Results illustrate the importance information managers place on exploring new products and resources, mobile access and alerts.
