Abstract

Private company and investor database PrivCo provides difficult-to-source data on non-publicly traded companies including family-owned, private equity-owned, venture-backed and international unlisted companies as well as information on mergers and acquisitions and private equity and venture-capital backed deals.

This review:

  • Looks at the need for reliable information on private companies, the growth of PrivCo since it went live in 2011, and key advantages and value offered by the service.

  • Considers PrivCo's content and coverage, including how the data is sourced, number of companies and investor firms covered and the geographic coverage, including areas such as Australia, Europe, US and India.

  • Looks at the technology underpinning PrivCo, including the functionality of the product, the search experience for users and the company and investor profiles available.

  • Highlights support and training options, competitors, pricing levels, developments and future plans.
